Hello Everyone, and greetings from a pioneering pack of pachyderm professionals. Today we explored the natural beauty of Thailand's flora
and fauna, and saw the unique adventures in it geography and in its
waters. We began the day with a drive into the jungle, at last arriving
at the home of our new three toed, two toned, one-of-a-kind friends, the
elephants. First, took a ride on the up, down, and around their camp,
taking time for lots and lots of pictures from atop our majestic mounts.
This was amazing, but the adventure had hardly begun! Swimming with the
elephants was the experience of a lifetime. The elephants splashed and
shook as we squeaked and sqeeeled from their backs. They trumpeted as we
flopped and grabbed and pulled and pulled ourselves up their rumps,
across their backs, down their shoulders and onto their heads for a good
old elephant rodeo. Human vs. a 2 ton elephant. Right there, right
then. Mechanical Bulls, eat your hearts out.
After sayin goodbye with a hearty bushel of bananas, we headed to the waterfalls. The steep hike to the third and four pools was well worth the effort. We slid down rocks and climbed vines like our very own water-park! The occasional peck of a curious fish completed the other-worldly feeling of the warm pools in the rainforest.
