Departure day:
- Don't forget to call your bank and tell them you will be in Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia.
- Also, since Cambodia wont allow international ATM withdrawals....feel free to give any "emergency cash" to myself or Ms. Hall. Further, if you feel that your child is "budget challenged" - feel free to give us any cash in a labeled, sealed envelope and we will distribute it with prudence, thus avoiding any large, impulse-buys on the first day.
- I will also be handing out small yellow ribbons when we meet at the airport. This will enable us to recognize all D.A. bags on trains, baggage claims and look out for each others stuff throughout the trip. Just tie these small yellow ribbons on all your bags, including carry-ons, so they are visible.
- Finally, I have heard that some of you are looking for a ride to the airport. If you live South (Highlands Ranch area) or plan on taking C-470/ E-470 please let me know if you are willing to pick up a student on your way.
- Also - feel free to leave comments on the blog posts at any time throughout the trip. It is a fun way to correspond, remark/react to our adventures throughout the trip. Just click on the "comments" tab underneath each post. We look forward to receiving updated comments at the end of each day.
- We will be meeting at DIA outside the United check-in area at 7:00am on Tues. June 11th.
- Parents: Please bring any meds or medical information in a separate bag/folder, with details and labels, to us first thing on the 11th.
- Also - If there are any (small or large), issues/ idiosyncrasies/ goals/ tools/ techniques etc. that you think might help us in making the most out of our trip with your child, please type these up in a labeled, sealed envelope and deliver them to us on the 11th. Confidentiality will be respected.
- Finally, please be respectful of Ms. Hall and Mr. Brookhart's time upon initial meeting on the 11th. Priority for us will be important housekeeping items (Meds/paperwork/last minute concerns, passport checks and double checks).
The quicker we can get this out of the way and organized the more time we will have for pictures, final farewells, and personal conversations.
Hope everyone is getting excited - Only a couple weeks away! WOW!
