INFO AND UPDATES 4/4/2013

Greetings Parents,

As this trip becomes a reality (!) we want to keep you informed with visa information, scheduled meetings, tentative trip dates, payments, etc. We will do our best to update the blog regularly as new information comes in: http://dadiscoversoutheastasia.blogspot.com/

PassportsPlease send us electronic copies of each passport as soon as possible. WE NEED THESE TO BOOK FLIGHTS. Passports must not expire within 6 months of our travel dates. Please renew passports if necessary; at this point all new and renewed passports probably need to be expedited for an extra fee. If you are renewing a passport, still send us a copy of the old passport (we believe we can still book flights with this info.)

Visas

We only need tourist visas to enter Cambodia. Thailand and Malaysia do not require visas for our length of stay. There is an e-visa processing website here for Cambodia: http://mfaic.gov.kh/evisa/ Please do this as soon as possible. Our specific travel dates to Cambodia are: 6/16-6/19

Payments

Please submit your final payments of $2,500 by Monday, April 15th if you have not done so already. A check made out to Denver Academy with "Southeast Asia" in the subject line will do.

Scheduled Meetings

Student meetings: SEC on the following Fridays - 4/19, 5/3, 5/17, 5/31

Parent meeting: Thursday, May 23, 5:30-7:00pm (Specific location and details TBA)

Health Info

Bring the detailed itinerary (on the blog, also attached here) to your doctor and see what they recommend. Shots, etc. will vary depending on personal preference. The following website has helpful travel information: http://travel.state.gov/

Cancellation Policy

By making final payment, please understand this is a group rated trip, and refunds may be minimal. We also book all of our own airfare, so that is subject to the airline refund policies.

Lastly, until we have passport information and final payments, we cannot book our flights and thus do not know the exact dates of travel at this time. Once that is squared away we will notify you promptly!
